Antennas

Crank-up HF Beam (TET Emtron TE33) the mast extends to 10m above the ground and can be lowered when not in use, my QTH is in a residential area where antenna restrictions apply, so far no complaints.

Crankup mast VK6EH

Another view of the crank up mast, I have built a plate on top of the mast and bolted a Kenpro KR-400 rotator arranged on a tilt plate so that when retracted the beam follows the slope of the roof and parks the antenna out of sight. A number of us got these masts from a company making lighting masts for the mining industry, these were prototypes for a mast that was extensively changed for the mining requirements.

VK6EH Shack

Operating Position at VK6EH, HF radio is an Icom IC7800, to the right is a Homebrew amplifier for all HF bands, VHF/UHF is covered with an Icom IC910H

Radio Club Stuff

Doing what he loves, Club member Andrew VK6IA flat out during a recent contest at NCRG. Station rig is an Elecraft K3 (Fully optioned, one of two) Emtron DX2sp Amplifier runs 400 watts all day under heavy contest conditions.

Club Project

GS35b Linear Amplifier under construction at VK6EH Chassis was once a "North-West" Amplifier now extensivly modified, Chassis work was done by myself with QRO knowhow by Alek VK6AP and John VK6JX, front panel printing was done by Kevin VK6LW. Design concept was to produce an amplifier capable of withstanding the rigors of many hours of continuous operation modes at 400 watts.

Acoustic Guitar, designed by Kono in US, built 2005, European Spruce front, African Rosewood sides and back, Mahoghany neck with Ebony finger board. Can't play it but it was good to build it.

Woodwork

Victorian Carriage Clock, Built 2001,Has a quartz Chiming movement.
